Set of black Rosenthal porcelain vases hand finished in a sliver raised linear ‘V’ shaped geometric pattern resting on rounded rectangular vases. Helmut Dresler was a designer who developed new unique decorating techniques, he experimented with paints and other materials on porcelain. Later this was to have a major impact on the products of Rosenthal in the 1970s and 1980s, when he was appointed designer by the company. Dresler’s works are in the State Museum for Porcelain in Selb-Plößberg and Hohenberg an der Eger , the Porzellanikon. His work combines craftsmanship with technical experiments and innovations.
