The Koninklijke Paketvaart-company (KPM) was a Dutch company, based in the articles of association but with an operational headquarters in Batavia, which existed between 1891 and 1966 mainly for maintaining connections in and from the Dutch East Indies. A part went up in 1957 in the Indonesian state company Pelni and another part was taken over in 1967 by the Koninklijke Java-China-Paketvaart lines (KJCPL).
This cabin case is made of steel and wood and in good condition. The cabin case was marked with the name H. Visser (original owner of this box) and the order Batavia Indonesia.
