The style called Biedermeier spread in Central Europe around 1815 and lasted until the mid-19th century. It manifested itself mainly in furniture and interior design. Created in bourgeois circles, it was originally meant to express his attitude to the world. The Biedermeier interior was to meet the needs of family life and give the impression of prosperity, comfort, order and coziness.
