A truly stunning Italian inlaid table with intricately drawn pen work to the sides and top by renown Cabinetmaker Ferdinando Pogliani. It has a stretcher base with small bun feet and one drawer. Ferdinando Pogliani was an important cabinetmaker whose work was renown for its quality of marquetry and inlay. It is richly decorated with a detailed classical scene and frieze. A very luxurious piece that incorporates inlays of tortoiseshell, ivory, and pen work on ebonised wood. Meticulously restored and re-polished it is sure to be a true conversation piece.
