From 1744 to 1747 Louis XV, on the front line of the War of the Austrian Succession, was truly a “warlord” as he nominally led the royal army.
Period: 18th century
Dimensions : Height : 24 cm x Width : 21 cm depth : 10 cm
We have a very nice representation of a stylized landscape of a battle, cannon, barrel, ball, club, standard.
Its dial is domed in white enamel and its very fine hands are gilded and openworked.
Its base is curved in wood covered with a lacquer and a brilliant colourless varnish for optimal protection. It is sublimated by very beautiful friezes chiselled with plants.
Its mechanism is original without modification, silk thread suspension.
It is a rare and interesting model for its decoration, its authenticity and in a remarkable state of conservation.
Completely overhauled and refurbished by a clockmaker specialised in antique clocks.
Wonderful tribute to the “Beloved”.
