The wall mounted 1970’s artwork demonstrating driving instructions about the use of car lights. The manual instruction panel at the bottom can be used to switch on the various car lights and learn about the function of the operation of the lights in driving. This model was produced by Heinrich Vogel in Munchen, Germany for driving schools. This wall mounted learning aide looks almost looks like the 1960s work of Andy Warhol as if he were creating a celebrity portrait. Instead this is a celebration of the car of the 1970s! Warhol used photographic silkscreen printing to create his celebrity portraits. The photographic silkscreen printing reproduces images almost like a tabloid photograph. The technique also allows to easily reproduce versions and variations of the prints but it is the mounted coloured headlights-low and high beam when switched on and off brings it all to life!
