Pair of polychrome porcelain baluster flasks. The bottles are decorated on an azure blue background with rocailles elements in combed gold. A fine decoration of garlands of polychrome flowers decorate the belly and the neck of the flasks. On the collar of each bottle, four figures, young men and young women in relief, are leaning against each other. They wear costumes from the 18th century. The cap combed with gold on a white background is removable. Each bottle carries the blue J.P monogram undercover for Jacob Petit. Measures: H 11.02 in. (28 cm), L 5.11 in (13 cm). Base 3.93 in. (10 cm) Jacob Mardochee, known as Petit (1796-1865), studied in the studio of the painter Gros. After a great tour of Europe, he moved to Fontainebleau circa 1830 where he opened a factory. The eccentricity and eclecticism of his style characterize the many productions of Jacob Petit. Restoration Period, circa 1830-1840.
