Beautiful and important oil on canvas painting by the great Neapolitan artist of the Posillipo School Fausto Pratella.
with rare skill a marina is depicted with fishing boats on the evening fare caught in an atmosphere of peace and harmony with nature.
In the background we can glimpse the heights overlooking one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Gulf of Naples, while in the foreground we have the fishermen intent on their work aided by lampare as the sunset approaches.

The son of Attilio, one of Italy’s best-loved 19th-century painters, Fausto Pratella followed in his father’s footsteps, with a predilection for seascapes and landscapes. Born in Naples in 1888, he began his studies at the Neapolitan Academy, however, learning both technique and subjects from his father.
This artwork, never before on the market, comes from a private collection and is beautified by an impressive antique frame in gilded wood, in almost perfect condition.
