Vase, Johann Loetz Witwe, decor pink Orbulin, ca. 1900 The iridescent Loetz vase impresses especially with its excellent Orbulin decor. In appearance, this is reminiscent of the Diaspora decor, but is even more elaborately crafted through an additional step in the production process and features crater-like depressions. Six curved lips close the bulbous body at the top. The pink ground is covered with pale silvery blue shimmer, creating an exciting contrast. The significant vase with the elevated decoration should not be missing in any Loetz collection. Bib.: A. Adlerova, E. Ploil, H. Ricke, T. Vlcek (ed.), Loetz – Böhmisches Glas 1880-1940, vol.
