This Boucherouite is a vintage Berber rug made from 100% recycled clothing and fabric scraps – soft and cozy underfoot. Our Berber rugs are hand knotted, one knot at a time. Each Berber rug is a long-lasting unique piece, sustainably made with regional materials.

All our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step of the cleaning process consists of a thorough beating of the rug to remove dust and mites, if any. The subsequent pre-wash with a PH neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the carpet is washed by hand through and through wet – a special soap is gentle on the fibers and preserves the carpets natural wool grease. Machine pressing and spinning are used for initial rinse and dry, so that the carpets are then hang-dried with circulating air.
