An attractive Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. Walnut, Mahogany and exotic wood center table. The table is raised a square pedestal with concave sides displaying inlaid palmettes all above the pawed supports. Above is the central reeded tapered column with a top mottled band. The apron is inlaid with wonderfully detailed foliate scrolls amidst flowers and additional palmettes. The top is richly inlaid with a sunburst design with a central medallion of a woman and decorated with a silver arm band looking up towards a statue above a pedestal. She is next to two fallen geese. The medallion is elegantly surrounded by a border of blossoming flowers. The inlaid Walnut bands lead to a similarly decorated floral inlaid band.
